I Didnt Mean it.

Oh I feel terrible. I am always complaining about the Parakeets I have had for six years , they are too noisy, too messy -lets get rid of them- on and on. My husband always reminds me of how I begged him to get them when we were first married six years ago and now I have them for life. Well, I accidentally killed one this morning. I got up and one was on the bottom of the cage and the other was hovered over it keeping him warm.
I thought why would it die all of a sudden? And then I realized there was no food in the dish and it was my fault. I feel really bad. REALLY! It was my fault I have just been so busy with the kids and new baby it got away from me. I don't want to tell my husband because hes going to insist I did it on purpose and as much as I complained -I DIDN'T.

A Trip to Our Backyard.

Do you want to see what I have been doing the last three days?
Making Candy. My first time doing such a project but I really enjoyed it. I bought the molds, the chocolate and got to work. I colored them with different food coloring. I decided to make a gift to celebrate the special day fast approaching and for each visitor to take home a little something. I think they turned out really nice. There are Ducks, Blocks, Choo Choo Trains and Rattles. I also added a few hearts and Roses since her middle name will be Rose and I already love her so much.

Fancy Cupcakes
My daughters Birthday is in a few weeks so I decided to practice making fancy cupcakes since I have never done it before with colored icing. I brought out my decorating tips, food coloring and went to work. Three things I learned in the process of making cupcakes...
1. Always practice first-it was a lot harder to make decorated cupcakes then I anticipated.
2. If your going to frost them with any type of fancy frosting make three times the amount of frosting you think you need. It took a lot more to frost the cupcakes with designs rather then with a knife.
3. Take pictures before you set them on the table. By the time I thought of the pictures this morning there was one lonely cupcake left. I guess that ones for me :)

Roomies No More
Yesterday was Bittersweet. My children no longer share a room. I felt sad separating them but at the same time I felt they needed their own space for their special things. Not to mention the fact that they are different schedules with Sofia now being in first grade and Laina not in school yet. To my surprise bedtime was so easy. We tucked them in said our prayers and never heard from them the rest of the night. I couldn't believe it for there is usually an hour of fooling around and me saying "stop talking" "stay in your own bed" et cetera. My husband and I were so thrilled we took some picures of them fast asleep and giggled to each other.
